About the role:

We are looking for a Head Sushi Chef to work alongside our award-wining Head Chef leading Omakase and Sushi teams. We’re looking for an ambitious Head Sushi Chef who is looking to work at the highest level, to delight guests and inspire team members. This position will work closely with our Head Chef in the day to day management of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

·Ensure the proper execution of all recipes and menu items.

·Maintain exceptional quality of food adhering to standards of excellence.

·Responsible for communicating the status of all sushi and omakase production to the Head Chef.

·Ensure that the Sushi and Omakase sections support the restaurant by providing outstanding service to guests.

·Establish, maintain and monitor the highest standards of hygiene and health & safety in accordance with all statutory, legal and company requirements.

·Inspection of product quality during and after preparation, and makes adjustments as required.

·Assist in creation and implementation of seasonal menu changes, in conjunction with Head Chef.

·Training and education of junior chefs in sushi and omakase techniques.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in similar role and within fast paced environment experience in Michelin starred or premium restaurant.
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to your career is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Food Safety, Sanitation, and Personal Hygiene basics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills.
  • Highly cooperative team spirit.
